You’ve heard of a sit in, but have you heard of a knit in? Our favourite nannas will be rolling into Melbourne town this weekend to tell Daniel Andrews that frack is whack. Gina Rinehart might like fracking, but Gina Rinestone doesn’t!
The lovely Gippsland Knitting Nannas Against Gas, part of a movement of brave nannas sweeping the nation, are packing their knitting bags and plan on doing some purl and plain outside the ALP National Conference this Saturday 25 July from 11am onwards at the Melbourne Convention Centre.
The nannas are going to have a good chinwag and let those naughty pollies know that they want a coal and gasfield free future for the kiddies. There might even be nice knitted hats for the pollies who uphold this endeavour…Knit on Nannas!
